Strategic meeting at Ryanair headquarters: future plans for Trapani Airport discussed

A strategic meeting was held today at the Ryanair headquarters in Dublin between the airline's top executives and the management of Airgest, the company that manages the Vincenzo Florio Airport in Trapani. Representing Airgest were President Salvatore Ombra, Director Michele Bufo, and Administrative Director Dario Sorbello, while Ryanair was represented by CEO Eddie Wilson, Ray Kelliher, Director of Route Development, and James Meagher from the route development department.

The meeting focused on the three-year future plans of the Irish company at the Trapani airport, with the goal of consolidating and enhancing air traffic at the terminal.

"We are working hard to consolidate the traffic at Vincenzo Florio Airport and to grow it," stated Salvatore Ombra, president of Airgest. "Today, there was a very important meeting with Ryanair to plan the triennial future of operations in Trapani, which we are pleased with. We will continue our discussions for the future of the airport and our region with other airlines at the Connect Aviation 2025, an airport operators and airlines forum, which will be held in Girona, Spain, from February 3 to 5."

The meeting with Ryanair represents a crucial step to strengthen the presence of the low-cost company at the Trapani airport, which in recent years has seen a significant recovery in air traffic, thanks also to the strategic collaboration between Airgest and Ryanair. The future of the routes and the increase in flights remain priorities for the Trapani airport, aimed at fostering economic and tourist growth in the region.
