Victims of the Bayesian yacht tragedy repatriated after autopsies in Palermo
The bodies of the seven victims of the Bayesian, a British-flagged yacht that sank on August 19 off the Port of Porticello, have left the Policlinico of Palermo, where autopsies were carried out in recent days.
The bodies of British tycoon Mike Lynch and his eighteen-year-old daughter Hannah; Jonathan Bloomer, the president of the investment bank Morgan Stanley International, and his wife Judith Elizabeth; American lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda, and the chef Recaldo Thomas, have left Sicily aboard private flights from Falcone and Borsellino Airport, destined for their home countries where funerals will be held in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the physicians from the Institute of Legal Medicine at the Palermo University Hospital will conduct further investigations on the remains extracted from the bodies to eliminate any uncertainty between death by drowning or oxygen depletion in the cabin.
